of year 6 looking forward to arriving; a parent making an enquiry or a curious member of the general public, you will find this website useful.

We are very proud of our school because it makes a difference to the lives of its students.  Currently we have 634 between the ages of 11 to 14.  The school has received a double outstanding inspection from Ofsted in 2006 and 2009.  A recognition of the quality of learning and development that takes place within our school.

This website cannot show you the genuine warmth, friendly, hard working atmosphere that we have that shapes our community.  Our school is all about developing each of our students.  This is reflected in every aspect of our work.  Our purpose is to ensure that every student gains every advantage by attending the school.  We try hard to achieve this.

We are a truly comprehensive school with pupils from all backgrounds and communities.  We welcome this mix because it provides for a rich and meaningful learning environment and community.

The school is vibrant, forward looking and determined to provide for all its students.
